Alli has been part of the theater scene her whole life. There's something about the stage that just thrills her. She has always loved performing; whether it was acting on stage, or dancing. As a young girl she learned as much as she could about the stage. She did everything, including costumes, stage hand, concessions, and tickets. She wanted to learn as much as she possibly could. She has been dancing for 10+ years, and continues to broaden her talent. She recently choreographed "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (Revised)", and hopes to choreograph more shows in the future. Alli has spent the last few years managing and acting with Sandbox Theatre Company, and is beyond thrilled to be a part of the team. She can't wait to see what the future holds for Sandbox.

Becky has been busy juggling children and work, and yet finds time to act with different theater groups, off and on, from the late '90's.  She is very happy to find a theater "home" with Sandbox.  Becky has worked with the Children's Service Society of Utah since 1998, and is confident that her experience working professionally with a non-profit organization will benefit and be an asset to Sandbox Theatre Company.  Becky has acted for StageRight TheatreCompany, Murray Arts in the Park, Draper Historic Theater, and has been Puck in "A Midsummer Night's Dream", Maria in "The Sound of Music", Lily St. Regis in "Annie", Charlotte in "Charlotte's Web", and a Narrator in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat".  Becky has assisted, in various capacities, with every show produced by Sandbox Theatre Company.

Bonnie is a Theatre and Speech Education graduate from BYU.  She has always had a love for the dramatic.  She has worked in almost every aspect of theatre, form acting, to props, to stage makeup.  In her “day” job, she works for University of Utah Health Care.  Bonnie has worked on several shows for Sandbox, including “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,” and “Little Shop of Horrors.”  Suffice it to say that Bonnie loves theatre, and is working on indoctrinating her husband to the “Arts side.”

Brad is new to theater, having married into it. His wife has grown up with theater running through her veins, so brad is running hard to play catch-up, and expand his own talents. He hopes to, one day, land his "Big" role, but, until then, he will continue doing what he is finding he loves - acting, singing, dancing, stage crew, and all the other roles so readily available in theater. Brad is a technical supervisor at Vivint Arena and holds an engineering degree. He will do his best to serve the board to the best of his ability. He has had fun so far, and can't wait to do more.

Curt Stowell

Board Member

Curt was initiated into the theater world when he operated a 10' marionette representing the Ghost of Christmas Future in a production of A Christmas Carol at Promised Valley Playhouse.  He took a drama class in high school, and then a long hiatus, until he was “coerced” into helping with the set for "Beauty and the Beast".  Since then, he has built the sets for "Annie", "The Scarlet Pimpernel", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Spamalot", and specialty items for "Babes in Toyland", and "Hello, Dolly".  Through Sandbox Theater Company,  Curt has found another outlet for his creative side. He is the owner of DC Mill and Molding, a custom woodwork and molding company. He credits his abilities to a few things: a father who was always tinkering and taught him the value of hard work, numerous hours playing with LEGOs and the Boy Scouts. He is always seeking new ways to use assets and repurpose items. Theater gives him the chance to support his wife and children as they pursue their interests.

Glenn is quickly adapting to community theater.  His first show was "Beauty and the Beast" at the Murray Amphitheater, where he was a stand-in for the Beast.  He quickly discovered that he had a knack for set design and construction, and has since worked on sets and acted in "Beauty and the Beast", "Arsenic and Old Lace", "Annie", "The Scarlet Pimpernel", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", and a starring role as Sir Lancelot in "Spamalot", during which he proposed to his now-wife, Lili.  Glenn has come to love every aspect of it, from acting to set design and construction.  Working with this production team has been an extremely rewarding adventure, one that only continues to grow.

Jared is currently the Planning Director for Sandy City, where he previously held the title of Long Range Planning Manager.  He appreciates spending time with his 3 kids and getting out into the mountains as much as possible.

Marla started performing in El Paso, Texas, in 1972, and in Salt Lake City, continued to act in many different community theaters.  When asked by a friend to be the Prop Mistress for "West Side Story" in 1998, Marla accepted the challenge, and then became 'The woman of all properties."  As an actor, she liked to use as many current and factual props as possible, and wanted others to have the same experience.  Shows for which she has been the property mistress include "West Side Story", "The Scarlet Pimpernel", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Hello, Dolly", "Spamalot", "Into the Woods", "Aida" and so many others that it becomes difficult to remember them all.  Suffice it to say that she truly loves theater!

Scot has been with this team for many productions now.  He began by helping to paint and create sets, which has morphed into bigger and larger painting and construction projects for shows.  He has acted in "Annie", "The Scarlet Pimpernel", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", and "Spamalot".  He has helped with sets for each of those, in addition to "Beauty and the Beast", "Curtains", the second "Spamalot", "Jingle Jacks", "Five Carols for Christmas", and "Peter Pan".  Scot’s love of theater has found a home in Sandbox, and he hopes to remain part of this organization for years to come.
